Implants, on a real calendar.
The surgery takes an hour. The bone takes three months. Anyone quoting you a same-day tooth is describing a temporary, which is fine, as long as somebody tells you that first.
The sequence
Five stages.
Mostly waiting.
Here is the honest version, with the boring gaps written in. If your case needs a graft, add two to four months between stages one and two, we will tell you that at the scan, not later.

Scan and plan · week 0
A cone-beam scan and a digital wax-up. You see where the fixture goes and how much bone is holding it before you commit to anything.

Placement · week 2
Roughly an hour under local, guided by a printed surgical stent. Most people go back to work the next day. You leave with a temporary if the site is visible.
- 03
Integration · weeks 3–14
Nothing happens and that is the point. Bone grows onto the titanium surface. Two short checks, no drilling, no cost.

Scan and mill · week 15
A digital scan of the healed site, then the crown is milled upstairs. Shade matched against the neighbouring tooth under three light temperatures.

Seat and review · week 16
Fitted, adjusted, photographed. Reviewed at six weeks and again at a year, both included in the original number.
What it costs
One number,
written down.
A single implant here is quoted as one figure covering the scan, the fixture, the abutment, the crown, and both reviews. We do not quote the surgery and then invoice the crown as a surprise four months later. Exact numbers depend on grafting and on your plan, you get yours in writing at the consult, with insurance already applied.

Honest limits
When we say no.
Active smoking above ten a day. Failure rates roughly double and we would rather have the conversation than the retreatment.
Untreated gum disease. We stabilise first. An implant in an inflamed mouth is a very expensive way to buy time.
A tooth that can still be saved. If a root canal and a crown will hold for a decade, that is the cheaper and better answer.
