Home / The practice
Five rooms, one lab, and no upselling.
Roanlight Dental opened in 2011 above what was then a bike shop. We have since taken the ground floor, built a lab in the back, and kept the number of chairs deliberately small.

Dr. Nadia Okonkwo, DDS
Nadia trained at Tufts and spent six years in a large group practice in Boston before deciding she disliked the way it made her work: fifteen-minute slots, quotas, and a treatment plan generated by software she did not control.
Roanlight Dental was the correction. Longer appointments, a hard cap on how many patients each dentist carries, and a rule she wrote on the wall of the staff room in her first month: never quote a number the patient hasn't seen the picture for.
She sees patients four days a week and still does her own hygiene checks.

The people you'll meet
Nine of us, and you will recognise everyone by your third visit.
- Dr. Theo Marchetti, DMD
- Associate dentist. Restorative work and sedation. Joined in 2017 from a hospital dental unit, which is why he is unbothered by things that bother everyone else.
- Priya Raman, RDH
- Lead hygienist since 2013. Runs the ninety-minute hygiene visit and is the reason several local families switched to us.
- Marcus Ilori
- Treatment coordinator. Benefits checks, payment plans, and the person who will actually reply to your email.
- Yelena Novak
- Denturist and lab technician. Mills the crowns, builds the dentures, and adjusts them until you stop noticing them.
- Front desk
- Dana, Rosa and Theo K. between them cover Monday to Friday, and one of them will remember your dog's name.
The building
Daylight in every operatory, which is unusual and which we paid too much for.
